Things began on Wednesday with a trip to the zoo. Jon was actually HAPPY to be going for once and even paid more attention to Lilia and I than his camera (shocking!). There was a display set up to educate guests about animal skeletons, skin, etc. Lilia was enthralled by it. We walked through it once without Jon and she asked me a BUNCH of questions. Then we left and for the next 5 minutes she kept talking about what she learned. When Jon caught back up to us, she told him she HAD to show him something. Her little hand grabbed his and led him over to the display. With complete excitement she began telling him about EVERYTHING. When the supervisor of the display came up to her, she asked him every question you can think of about the skulls, hooves, leg bones, skin.....we had to pry her away. : ) Maybe she'll be a zoologist. What a cutie!
Today we spent the day at Hawaiian Adventures Water Park. The park is pretty big and offers two separate kid areas. Lilia wasn't too fond of the water slides, but then again she isn't a big regular slide kind of kid. According to her, the best part of the day was "finding sea-shell bra tracks that might lead to Ariel." If only we could somehow find a real mermaid for her, she'd be in Heaven! After spending four hours in the sun, we were all wiped out and headed home to relax (without naps, because Lilia and nap don't ever go hand-in-hand). To top off the day, we had some yummy Cold Stone for dinner!
